Irene Melvin (Line Works/Crowns) Masterclass

Irene Melvin started painting faces 7 years ago and graduated from the International Face painting School as an Elite student.  Irene teaches airbrush makeup and fairy hair for those who want to learn as well as providing services for her clients.  She loves all things that glitter so glitter tattoos and bling are in her menu of choices as well as her custom made mirror and headpieces.  She is the owner of  Fun Faces KatzNC in NC.  Her website also serves as an online retail store for her new face paint boards recently created.  She hopes to build her website with additional products soon.

Why is line work so hard?  Is it the brush?  Is it the pressure or the angle?  Can’t decide how to change your crown design or even tired of doing the same one?  Then this class is made for you! Through the use of visual examples, Irene will explain these:

• Principles behind line work and brushes.
• Giving you a better understanding of where to place line work.
• How to make your work look cleaner.  
• Basic concepts on how to build your own dynamic style and look. 
• Giving you the opportunity to apply the things that you’ve learned.

Products needed:

• Pen and paper for notes
• Your favorite round &  liner brushes a #3 and a #4-6
• Your favorite angle brush 3/8, 1/2 & ⅝
• Split cake of your favorite face paints
• A black and white wax based paint of your choice

Meet the Instructor

Irene has taught at MAX, ACE the Art Factory and on Facepaint.com. Irene also has a channel on FABATV showcasing her dad who helped keep her skills up through COVID when the industry was not busy.  She credits her continued passion for helping people to her dad and her surrounding friends in the industry. Irene is more known for her love of cartoon art and her cartoon style.
